School Plays and Lots of Biscuits

Ben's elementary school put on a production yesterday and we attended.

Alyana munched on ++ biscuits throughout the entire show and only hollered ( loudly) a few times. Her big brother and his side kick (to his right) got distracted by the little 19 pound noisy girl in the stroller. Yes,they thought it she was quite amusing to say the least !

As for Miss Aly she enjoyed the attention as well and really is in love with the sound of her own voice.

Good job Bugsy ....you are one talented little guy !

I just have one question for you ....

Can I have your autograph ? ;)

Ok ......this is just after Miss Aly shrieked in delight after seeing her big brother !

When Bugs left the house this AM his tie was tucked under his collar ...lol

Playtime

Ok ....I know I sound a bit possessed at the end of the video but I really like playing with these two kiddies sometimes ....

Yes, I strap the camera onto to my boot strap and wait for the moment to strike.

The first ones are of Ben and Aly on the walk to the school bus. Since Bugs saw the bear pics he wants no part of walking to the bus by himself in the AM. I guess he needs his Mommy to protect him (even though he claims to be the Green Lantern and wear a magic ring that can zap the bad guys!).

Hmmmmmm ......perhaps this magic ring doesn't work on black bears.

There are also some pics of Alyana with her China sisters.
Yesterday, we met Shirley, Krista, Candy for coffee and watched the kiddies play while we sipped on coffee.

It was great seeing the ladies again with the girls. They are all so beautiful!

We need to get together again soon. I promise to use my house this time and hopefully by that time there will be a bear skin rug on the floor ( lol).

Ok.....I'll admit, I've got "grass envy".

We had a visitor this morning and we are sure glad that he didn't decide to stay for breakfast.

Alyana and I had just finished placing the flowers out for a drink of rain water and when we turned to come back inside, we saw this fella ......

(at least, I think it was a fella)

I sure had no intention of going to check!!

He looks mean, huh ?

It took me a minute to realize that this black visitor was not our regular neighbourhood canine visitor.

He even visited the front step.

These are his muddy paw prints.

Yes, that is waaaay too close for comfort for this Mommy.

I've already made a phone call to the Department of Natural Resources to report this teddy bear.

As for Fletcher , the wonder dog, he slept through the visit.

I think next time I'll send the cat after any intruder.

We spent a perfect weekend with family and friends.
Gosh, the weather was terrific.
I love it ....
Can't wait for next weekend :)



PS: Sorry that we missed the hayride.
We just couldn't fit it all in.
I hope you girls ( Angela, Diane,Penny, Krista, Candy and Carrie) had a great time. I promise that we will make the next one !

Ben came home yesterday from school, very proud, and dropped this into my hand .....

The tooth fairy left him a deposit under his pillow this morning.

It must have been an " in demand" tooth because he was able to fold what he received and place it in his pocket today.

I think the tooth fairy is a lot richer than she (he) was when I was a kid :)

Yes, I know, we already are scoping out dentists ...*hehe*

One day, our little man will have the colgate smile.

Oh my ,with each tooth lost it shows that my babe is growing up .......

Time moves too fast ...

AS FOR MISS ALY .........

It was flower time yesterday ....

Hooray !!

..... and just when we were about to give up on summer.

A trip to our friendly neighborhood garden centre and perhaps an ice cream too !

We packed up and headed for the park to take in the sites and sounds of summer.
I finally think old man winter has gone to sleep.

Mommy's Little Helper

This little girl LOVES to help her Mama.

I looked down the other day and here she was helping with the dishes.




From the looks of things,I just have to make sure that she stays clear of the stove, and the washer, and the dryer .....

Alyana has discovered the cat over the past few weeks and will take every oppurtunity to go and pat him and try to cuddle him.

I think she likes the fact that he is little and soft.

Mr Jingles ( seen below) tolerates it but ,to be honest, I think he'd rather be out chasing the mice.

Silly kitty ......he doesn't know what he's missing .....

Alyana is one of the best cuddlers in the whole wide world
( aside from her big brother) !
