Happy Easter Everyone !
I hope the bunny found you happy and well this year. He sure found us ...
We have spent a great weekend with the kids and it's not over yet.
Hooray ! (I've been soooo ready for a vacation).
Today we spent the day with the family ( yes ...with 19 of our most favorite people in the whole wide world). We kicked off the Easter festivities with the annual easter egg hunt.
Snow covered hills and all ....

It's getting close to that time of the year in which the spring bonnets surface, the weather starts to show signs of looking up, the kids are crazed on candy and that fella with the long ears pays yet another visit.
In preparation for the the big day, my two little Picasso's and I got to work and produced some stunning ....well ......er .....let's just say some rather unique pieces of work :)
See for yourself ..... ( thank goodness for washable paint as no surface was safe ..lol)!
Alyana's first official Easter egg ....not bad .....not bad at all !
It's really good, isn't it ?
I won't tell you where mine are!

( if you are just getting started now) is about 6-7 years.
Six to Seven ???
Holy Gawd ...
I can't even imagine ....
I'm 40 this year and started the adoption process at 36 ......
I'd still be waiting if the above stat is correct.
It begs the question ....
Would we have held steadfast or jumped to another country ??
I'm glad that we didn't have make that choice.
I'm so thankful that our little girl ..... our beautiful ,funny and sweet little girl ....is here with us.
She is safe, warm and loved more than she could have ever imagined.

On that happy note, I headed off into work today and started to get things organized for my work day when Alyana's daycare called, informing me that she had "bowel issues" and that I was to promptly pick her up !
What ??
She was fine an hour minutes ago .....
I tried to explain that IT happens every time she indulges in "jewsa" ( apple juice).
It fell on deaf ears .....
I know ... I know ...Public Health Regulations .....yadda .....yadda .....yadda .....
So , here we are, Aly has had to take a "sick day" from her daycare and Mommy is home "nursing" her "sick "little girl !
Looks pretty sick , huh ??
and here she is hamming it up .....
Strangely, I thought of Bob and Doug Mackenzie ( of the Great White North) when I saw this picture.
So, I went to search for a picture .......and sure enough, there is a resemblance!
See what I mean ??

This picture of Ben towering over his Dad might seem far fetched today but I can't believe how much he has actually grown this winter.
It really won't be long before he actually does in fact, tower over his Daddy. In the past three months, I've been back to the store looking for longer legged pants 3 times! Man ...
As for Miss Aly..... well, she is growing S-L-O-W-L-Y and is still size 18 months.
Here she is modeling her new "bue"( BLUE) nightie .
Let's hope her tooties don't get tangled up as she races aroung the house!
She is not one to sit very long !
Here she is in action .....

This basket is a source of much competition in our home. Between Alyana and our two cats, you never know who might be in it at any given time.
Today, Jingles won, and our kitten ( Rosabell) was banished from her comfy spot.
Thank goodness Alycat wasn't around to see or Mr Jingles would have had to take a place beside Rosabell ( underneath the coffee table)!
Alyana ( just a few short months ago) in HER basket :)
