What a Difference a Week Makes .......

It's Been a Week ....

Can you believe it ?

We have all slipped quietly into our routines and are doing well.

Alyana has adjusted so well to the time change. She is sleeping through the night
( yeaaaahhhhh ) and is eating every three hours when awake. She has gained weight, we are sure of that ! She still wears a 9 month but at this rate, she will easily catch up on the weight scales.

Ben has adjusted to his new role of big brother well and gone back to Nintendo, cartoons, and coloring now that the novelty of having a new sister has worn off. After all, babies are kinda boring to a 6 year old.

JP is back to work and yours truly is playing " Stay at Home" Mom for the next several months ......ahhhhh ....life is good !

Home Sweet Home

We've been home for 3 days now and we are gradually getting adjusted to the time change.

There has been a whirlwind of activity in our home over the last few days and Alyana has taken it all in stride. She doesn't seem to mind all the noise at family get togethers ( good thing ...... because this is a loud family) :)

She loves her new brother with a capital L and follows him everywhere with her eyes.

Ben is doing great and we are so thrilled to be back home with him.
The next trip to China our boy will be coming ...there is no doubt about that !

To Take or Not to Take .....

That is the question ....

We have so much to take and a thousand packing lists out there in cyberspace that all contradict one other.

Here is a glimpse of the chaos that took place in our family room last night.

This is honestly the most overwhelming task of the entire adoption process.

We seem to take one step forward and 3 back .....

The good news is that the carry on bag for Alyana is packed.
