7 months, 4 weeks and 2 days ....but hey, who is counting ?

The weather has been terrific this weekend.

Today, my favorite boys and I decided to slip the kayak's in the water and go for a paddle. It was lots of fun.

Check out the pics.

You can tell by this first picture that Bugs is anxious to get in the boat and hit the fishing holes.

We continue to do well. The wait for Alyana is tolerable and besides, it is completely out of our hands anyway.

We are still hoping for a referral in August but expecting October referral.

There is lots to keep us busy these days. Our house goes on the market this week and we are hoping for a quick sale. Keep your fingers and toes crossed!

Hope all is well with everyone.

"Hoppy" Easter Everyone

We trust that the "long earred fella" found you all.

We spent the day with 25 or so of our closest relatives. This picture kinda looks like a used car lot ...huh ?

Grammy and Papa fed us well and the kids had fun on their annual easter egg hunt. Of course, Ben's favorite part of the hunt was opening the eggs and discovering the yummy treats inside.

Yes .....I'll have Sssssssssmore .......

Not the wisest thing to feed your little fella who is a hour away from bedtime.

Hello Everyone,

I've stopped counting down the days to referral, steered clear of the yahoo boards and various webpages ( well, not completely BUT I have cut down) and made the decision to focus all of my attention on hanging out and having fun with my boys.

The weather was great the other evening (amazing weather for April 14th).

SO GREAT that the 3 of us decided to have a bonfire and make smores .....

How can you eat just one ?

How To Kill Time ....

Another month has passed.

Time is moving quickly ,yet, oddly standing still with our adoption. We received word last week from our agency to prepare ourselves for yet more delays :(((

I'm still feeling hopeful that we will receive our referral at 10-11 months. Hmmmm ....do you suppose that means that I am in denial ??

The good news ,however, is that CCAA has finished the review of dossier's for families with a LID of August 31st/2005.
Hooray ...we passed!

So, what have we been doing to pass the time with this wait?

Well ...we have been preparing Alyana's quilt ( see below).

AND we have been "partying".

Ben had his 6th birthday party today at the Teddy Bear Workshop and he brought 6 of his favorite little people. It was really fun ( see below).

AND .......

the REALLY,REALLY BIG NEWS is that we have decided to build a home and have spent the week searching for and looking at home plans.

We've viewed so many that they are all beginning to all look alike.

We're probably crazy undertaking such a big plans months before China but hey, if you look at it this way, it will certainally "kill the time" until we get Aly's referral.

Time to redo the nursery.

Hope things are well with everyone. We'll post again soon.
