A few fall pics .....

Love this time of the year. Crisp , cool and beautiful. The leaves have just begun to turn. The kids have both settled back into their routine. Ben loves his teacher and Alycat have taken command of her "school" again.
Let's see ....what's on the agenda this week ......
I see apple picking, turkey roasting ( going to try our luck at roasting a few turkey's on the pig roaster today) and pickling in our future .....
Sure sounds like fall to me .....and you know what comes next .......ok , after Halloween that is .......

Pig Roast 2009

Pig Roast 2009' went off without a hitch .....

The weather was lovely, the food was great and the friends were, as always .....fantastic .....

We are very lucky to have such great people in our lives ..... ( sorry we missed you George and your entourage of 40 people or so .......haha)

We started off mid afternoon and were still going strong well into the middle of the night.

Cheers to all that made this day one of the best piggie roasts ever .......

Goodbye Summer ......

It's been so long .....

Time just seems to get away from me these days.

Well, the summer has drawn to a close and the kids have begun an new year of adventure and learning. Ben's in Grade 4 now .....gosh, where does the time go? Seems like yesterday he was a babe in my arms. Now, he is almost to my shoulder blades and growing more mature and more handsome every day. He is a great little man- funny, smart and active ....

Alycat's hit preschool and sure has grown over the summer. She thinks she wants to a be a princess when she grows up that, or a "trampoline people". Friends of ours gave the kids a trampoline a few weeks ago and the kids leap, hop and twist and their hearts delight most nights ( well until they get sick of one another and Mommy or Dad has to separate them).

I'm going to post a hodge podge of summer pics now , you know, to kinda to make up for missing scads of post over the past several weeks.

I've thought of closing off this blog but my honey thinks that it's a great way to journal about our family and a great keep sake for the kids as they grow.
